Written for a string orchestra (or a string quintet), ‘Colour Dance’ serves as an exploration of various lyrical melodic lines and harmonic combinations to produce a soundscape of colours, providing the audience a captivating listening journey.

The piece begins with a slow section which features harmonic layering, and is followed by a fast section with driving rhythm where the main theme is introduced, as well as a slow section that reinforces and reimagines the main theme. The piece concludes with a reprisal of the fast section with more melodic and rhythmic variations incorporated.
