In this one-way journey that we call life, we have experienced many ups and downs, joy and sorrow, an assortment of emotions that we may not be able to put into words. As we reminisce the precious moments that have passed long, long ago, we cannot help but ask ourselves: have we lived up to our childhood selves' aspirations?

Written for a wind orchestra, "Fantasy on a Nursery Tune" is based on a classic children's song called "Long, Long Ago". This composition is a portrayal of the different stages in life and an interplay of contrasting musical genres, featuring a fast swing section that evokes a sense of energetic youthfulness with a touch of maturity, as well as a slow emotional section that expresses a child's dream-like qualities and a feeling of determination that arises in the process of growth, while motifs of the original tune are scattered throughout the entire piece.
